Greenwich Summer Sessions website

Built using the open source Django framework, we created a system that allows content archiving each year and full site re-skins as the concert series grows. We used very simple stylesheet (CSS) tricks to tie this years (2011) marketing image and the interaction of the elements on the website using a paralax effect (seen as you scroll down on the homepage). While the effect is unusual, the simplicity of the solution means it works across browsers and devices including mobile and pads.

Designed and developed to ensure quick loading it works across modern devices. A key benefit of adhering to W3C best practices enables search engines to index the site more thoroughly. A geeky success with the site is the Google Page Rank, based on the sites perceived importance in relation to the other sites, currently 4/10 (by comparison competitors such as Vintage Festival and Bestival have no page rank at all).
